Generous Poor & Really Stingy

The Generous Poor & Really Stingy 9

When Zhen Xiaoqi went into the bedroom to hang up the clothes for him, Qiong Dafang used the opportunity and started silently disassembling the weird cloth enclosure.

Curtains, shades, and mosquito nets, and the stainless steel brackets were all dismantled, disassembled and thrown to the ground. Soon, the living room was returned exactly to the way it was.

Living separately? Don’t think about it.

When Zheng Xiaoqi finished packing the closet and came out, Qiong Dafang had taken off the cloth structure and throw them all on the ground. And Qiong Dafang himself was lazing on the sofa with his legs propped up.

“You… you know how to dismantle but do not know how to pack up?” Zhen Xiaoqi just gave him a stern glance, and then  sorted out the pieces on the ground before keeping them in the cabinet.

Qiong Dafang was leaning against the back of the sofa and watching Zhen Xiaoqi. After watching for a while, he squatted on the ground and did not even reach out to help him. Instead, he grinned cheekily and teased him, “Were you waiting for me to come and dismantle it?”

“Nonsense!” Zhen Xiaoqi rolled his eyes, but his face inadvertently reddened.

Qiong Dafang looked at Xiaoqi who had an expression that showed he refused to admit it. He was very happy and followed closely behind him. “Xiaoqi, don’t be so shy. I have never asked you this. When did you start to have feelings for this gege?”

(T/n:  gege = older brother)

“High school? University? Wow, please don’t say you started to have eyes for Ge since junior high school?”

The more he talked, the more excited he was, “I remember that our relationship in junior high was rather ordinary. We got closer in high school. How did the two of us get closer? Did you get closer to me intentionally?”

“Tell me about it, Zhen Xiaoqi, let’s talk a bit!”

Zhen Xiaoqi was so annoyed by him that he could not stand it. The more Dafang talked, the more outrageous he sounded. He rushed into the room and with a “bang”, slammed the door and left Qiong Dafang outside.

“You quiet down!” Zhen Xiaoqi shouted at the door, “Who would like an annoying brat like you!”

Qiong Dafang’s nose was almost hit by the door. He smiled wryly. “Finding me annoying so quickly?”

Zhen Xiaoqi hid in the room and ignored him. So Qiong Dafang walked around with his hands behind his back. Although he has visited Zhen Xiaoqi’s house many times, his mood was completely different this time. He was like a lion walking around in its own territory. He did not overlook any corners of the house, passing and touching them.

Qiong Dafang realized that he had never really observed Zhen Xiaoqi’s home before, but now he discovered that Zhen Xiaoqi spent a lot of thought in to this old house.

Three broken washbasins were placed on the balcony. Inside there was soil, he had no idea where Xiaoqi dug from, and he had planted shallots and leeks.

There were also a net bag with gingers being hung and peppers threaded together. This was not like a home which a young man’s resided, but rather

resembled more like an elderly person’s home.

Qiong Dafang thought inwardly that Zhen Xiaoqi was not like his parents, but more like his grandma.

He pulled a pepper thread over and smelled it. Hmm, pretty fragrant.  A person like Zhen Xiaoqi who is simple, but has a particularly spicy taste.

He wandered around the room for a while before knocking on the bedroom door again, “Xiao qi, come out. Let’s go out and play.”

Zhen Xiaoqi opened the door with a “shua” sound, and asked him with a stern face, “Where?”

Qiong Dafang’s eyeballs turned. “Go to your grandma’s house. Let’s go watch an open-air movie.”

Hmph, he still remembered that half a month ago, Zhen Xiaoqi had taken someone to his grandma’s village to watch a movie. He wanted to go too.

Zhen Xiaoqi obviously thought of this too, remembering that he had cried to Qiong Dafang half a month ago, and he unexpectedly felt ashamed.  He threw a tantrum and slammed the door again. “Don’t want to go!”

“Let’s go, let’s go! Xiao Qi, Qi Qi!” Qiong Dafang scratched the door, kept wailing nonstop.

After a long while, Zhen Xiaoqi opened the door and stared at him fiercely. “We can go to the cinema just fine! For what we go so far away to some village ?!”

He raised his mobile phone and it showed he had already bought movie tickets.

Qiong Dafang looked at it. It was even a 3D movie. He was laughing so happily he could not even close his mouth. Zhen Xiaoqi indeed treated him more generously than he did to that Han Bo.

Sure enough, Zhen Xiaoqi has liked him for a long time.

He changed his shoes, took down Zhen Xiaoqi’s coat that was hanging on the porch, shook it, and made a “please” gesture, but Zhen Xiaoqi ran into the kitchen and didn’t come out after a while.

“Xiaoqi, what are you doing?” Qiong Dafang peeked his head into the kitchen, but he couldn’t see anything.

“Coming, coming.” Zhen Xiaoqi came out holding a black plastic bag, he put slipped on the coat on Qiong Dafang’s hand, held Dafang’s hand to walk out the door.

The movie theatre was just in front of the Xiaoqi home’s estate, and just a short walk away. When the two arrived, the movie they had booked for had not started. The two sat in the waiting area staring around.

Qiong Dafang expressed joyfully, “I never thought there would be a day you would invite me to a movie. Is your heart feeling ache now?”

“Hmph!” Zhen Xiaoqi turned his head away from Qiong Dafang, not wanting to see his smiley face.  He mumbled, “It is not the first time…”

Qiong Dafang didn’t hear him clearly, moved to sit before Xiaoqi and faced him. “What did you say?”

“Nothing.” Zhen Xiaoqi didn’t want to say. He didn’t want to tell Qiong Dafang about the movie they had missed.  What happened in the past has passed and it was not like they could go back in time.

Thus, he changed the subject indifferently, “Does your office have a microwave oven? How about I prepare a lunchbox for you on Monday?”

“There is, there is!” Qiong Dafang nodded with excitement. So blissful. He didn’t think that he had lived up to a day where someone would prepare a lunchbox for him. Hehe, he couldn’t stop laughing.

What to do, I’m so happy.  Qiong Dafang wished he could run around the movie theatre while hugging Zhen Xiaoqi.

Zhen Xiaoqi held his chin in disgust, “Close your mouth. Don’t make such an idiotic look!”

Finally it was the opening time for their movie, and the two checked their tickets and found their seats.  Maybe because it was the weekend, there were a lot of people watching the movies.

Zhen Xiaoqi opened the black plastic bag that he had been holding and took out a freezer bag. He asked Qiong Dafang, “Do you want to drink something? Rock sugar water, stewed with Luo Han Guo, cooling in this weather.”

“Don’t need,” Qiong Dafang shook his head.

“What about snacks? Pig ears cooked in sesame oil?”

“Snack.. snack?” Qiong Dafang was shocked again. There was actually someone who would watch a movie with pig ears as a snack?

He leaned over to see that Zhen Xiaoqi was holding a food bag in his hand, and it was opened at the moment. It was really pig ears cut into shreds, and he could see that it was made by Zhen Xiaoqi himself. It was not as red as the ones sold in shops.  However, there was a seductive scent from pig ears mixed with sesame oil. Qiong Dafang couldn’t help but drool.

“I will eat one.” Qiong Dafang finally could not resist the smell of pig ears, and opened his mouth asking to be fed.

“Give me your hand.” Zhen Xiaoqi pulled out a disposable glove from the plastic bag and wore it for him, “Take it by yourself to eat.”

As a result, for this movie, Qiong Dafang couldn’t remember anything at all. He only remembered that the pig ears made by Zhen Xiaoqi were delicious, fragrant, and had been dripped with a few drops of vinegar, which was particularly refreshing and not greasy at all.

When they finished watching the movie, Zhen Xiaoqi went to the toilet, and Qiong Dafang waited for him at the door.

He realized that someone had been staring at him. He felt it was absurd and stared back fiercely. But after glaring for a long time, he found that the man was not staring at him, but the bag in his hand.

The man’s face was still a little familiar. It seemed as though he was sitting in front of them while they were watching the movie.
